Local Summer Camp Out/Hang Out

***This event is only open to individuals who have been on a camping trip with this group or who have attended at least three Wednesday night hikes in the last year. If you have not been on a prior camping trip with us but are interested in such, please send me a message and I'll get you information.***

As we always have packed camping trips so that we can explore as much as possible, we sometimes do not have the time we'd like to hang out at camp, relax, and socialize. Thus, this year, we are adding in a local camp out/hang out event. Our targeted dispersed camping spots will be on the back side of Mt. Timpanogos off of Cascade Springs Rd (the road that connects Alpine Loop to Soldier Hollow). Our backup areas will be east of Heber City or east of Kamas up in the Unita range.

For those looking for the full experience, we'll arrive and setup camp on the morning of Saturday, July 26, spend the evening at camp, and head home Sunday afternoon. We'll have some camp games, hopefully a nice campfire if conditions permit, go for a short afternoon hike on Saturday along the Alpine Loop, and we'll have a potluck cook-out dinner and breakfast cook-out. It'll also be a great time to reminisce about past adventures. And, as some of you know, we'll have a special little guest joining us for at least part of the time.

For those who just want to drop by for an afternoon or a day, that is also perfectly okay. Just please note such when signing up and on the spreadsheet I'll circulate so we know how big of an area for the number of tents/overnight guests we can expect.

Finally, if you're free on the afternoon/evening of Friday, July 25, to help us secure a campsite, please let me know.
