Moderate 5.4 miles total with 774 elevation at South State Mountain State Park

Let's hike Clear Creek Trail and Lake View trail at South Mountain State Park! **Note: this is NOT the Main visitors center access.

There are two separate trails here:
Clear Creek is rated moderate 4.2 miles with 774ft of elevation gain. There is no summit or peak on this trail but there are 8 small stream crossings!
The second trail is Lake View Trail and is rated easy 1.2 miles with 108 ft of elevation gain. It is a loop around the lake with views.

**Please wear proper shoes for hiking as there are leaves, roots and rocks and hiking poles if desired! Hiking poles can help with the decent especially when the ground is covered with leaves.

Restrooms: ***There are NO restrooms at the trailhead. There are a few gas stations or convenience stores close by and the closest one is just as you turn onto Jenkins Rd at US 64 about a mile before the trailhead.
