Greetings everyone,

It has been way too long since our last hike, so I thought we would do a repeat of our last one.

When we last hiked here, the fog was so thick we didn’t see anything from the top - which was pretty cool! Hopefully this time the weather will cooperate to provide some amazing views from the top.

One more thing we learned from last time is that hiking poles are very important on the way back down. So feel free to bring them if you have some.

Either way, I hope you can join me on this hike at Round Valley. Be prepared to experience the challenge, beauty and views of this moderate-to-difficult 4.6 mile route with 1,020 ft elevation gain. Here is a [map and description](Miwok and Hardy Canyon Loop on AllTrails https://www.alltrails.com/en-gb/trail/us/california/miwok-and-hardy-canyon-loop?sh=1jvekl&utm_medium=trail_share&utm_source=alltrails_virality) for your reference.

Dogs are not allowed.

Let’s meet up at the trailhead at 9:00 am. Be sure to bring layers and hat to wear, sturdy shoes to hike, water to drink, a snack to eat, poles to steady, and as always an attitude for making friends.

You can also meet me at the Walnut Creek Friends Church back parking lot at 1950 1st Ave. in Walnut Creek for carpooling leaving at 8:10 AM.

See you soon!

Doug
