We are the premier Baltimore Hiking group with over 9,000 members.
This group is for all those who are dedicated to hiking, biking, camping, and any other fun outdoor activity in and around Baltimore whether in the natural areas or urban settings. We offer a range of activities at different times and locations, and encourage all members to make suggestions or plan and lead events.

See all- Patapsco State Park River Trail & Trolley Stop: Flat, Moderate 9 MilesEllicott City - Trolley Trail, Ellicott City, MD
Walk about a half mile to the trail head. The trail is flat and parallels the Patapsco River from Oella past Rt 40 and Rt 70 to Old Frederick Rd. Scenic views of the river for the entire hike.
Average pace: 2.5 - 3.0 mph
Optional: Trolly Stop after the hike. Rated 15 out of 135 Restaurants in Ellicott City. Excellent food, large portions at a reasonable price. My favorite is the Cheesesteak. Alcoholic beverages also available: beer, wine, mixed drinks.
Directions: Get on Frederick Ave and turn toward the Trolley Stop. The Trolley Stop is located across the bridge from Old Town Ellicott City off Frederick Ave. From Old Town EC, make a left at the Trolley Stop (Oella Ave) and park in public lot one block from the Trolley Stop on the Right Hand Side.

Harper's Ferry Tubing,
Meet at 9:30 at 604 Valley Rd, Knoxville, MD. The bus drops you off on the Potomac River at one location and picks you up at the end location. Meet at 9:30 to turn in permission forms and to obtain a tube and life preserver. Approximately 1.5 hours tubing from start to finish. Relax in the water and enjoy scenic views as you coast down the river. Pass historic Harpers Ferry as you float downriver. This is considered white water tubing and includes occasional class 1/2 rapids. You must pay and sign up at the link provided. Possibility of a second run downriver.Tubing Cost: $49.12
