Hi All!

This hike is for you if:

  • you are female / identify as female
  • are a “slow hiker” or like to take frequent breaks
  • want to tackle a challenging hike at your pace and not get left behind

About the trail:

  • 4.5 miles, moderate and 1k’ elevation gain
  • Mostly gravel and packed dirt.
  • If you’re not familiar, this is the trail that overlooks the town of Harpers Ferry / Shenandoah and has a beautiful view.
  • We will hang out at the overlook for a bit before heading back down the trail.

What to bring:

  • Water
  • Snack
  • Your dog 🐶 if you’d like!

**Updated parking information**
- There are multiple parking lots at Harper's Ferry.
- The "Lower Town Parking Lot" is the closest one to the trailhead, and requires no shuttle. Most other parking locations either require a shuttle (that normally doesn't operate until after 9AM) or a long walk, which is why I chose the Lower Town Parking Lot (so we can also bring dogs too since they aren't allowed on shuttles.
- Typically you can book parking for the Lower Town Parking Lot online. Right now, due to the Govt. shutdown, you cannot purchase online.
- If you have a National Park pass, bring it with you just in case they are charging onsite. Your national park pass covers your entrance and parking.
- If you don't have a National Park pass, come prepared to potentially pay $20 for parking. There are kiosks onsite to purchase (if required at this time).

Brewery afterward is optional.
