***NO BEGINNERS PLEASE! This is an intermediate to advanced hike due to distance, pace, and altitude gain. If you are slow hiker and cannot stay with the group, this may not be the hike for you. ***
Distance / Time: Approximately 14+ miles/4,452 ft elevation gain /6-7 Hours
Departure Time: 7:00 AM. This hike will start at the designated time. Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow for parking and introductions.
About This Hike:
This is a tough hike recommended only for those who have experience with hiking long distances and climbing steep slopes!
Please bring food and plenty of water. Hiking poles are strongly suggested.

This is a strenuous hike. 14+ miles and 4,452 feet of elevation gain.

We will start at the Bell View Trailhead. it's a combination of steep and very steep slopes along a ridgeline which entails going up and down several smaller peaks before ending at Los Pinos peak. When we get to the peak, we will spend about 15 minutes at the summit to regroup, take some pictures and just enjoy the view. The trail from the summit back down to the trailhead. there isn't any shade, so hats and sunscreen are recommended.
Driving Instructions and Meeting Location:
Take I-5 to Exit 90 Alicia Parkway. Continue Alicia to Rancho Santa Margarita (turn right). Santa Margarita Parkway to Plano Trabuco Road (turn left). Plano Trabuco Road for approximately a half mile. Turn right on Robinson Ranch Road for approximately one mile. Pass Vista Dr. on your left Look for the picnic table in the park. Parking for the park and trail head is street side on Robinsons Ranch Road.
