Kayak starved rock

Get in another good kayak trip for 2026
Start your day with a nice Kayak in the Illinois River.
We launch Kayaks at 10:15 am ( heading south on the river - LEFT from boat ramp) and will travel at group on nice relaxing kayak trip. Kayak should be done by 130 Be sure to bring some snacks, food, drinks with you in the kayak.
This is far upriver from Visitor center, so if you are with the tourists, you need to continue farther to LOT #29 Lone Point Shelter.

****Try and follow my directions below:
Take 71 West off Route 80. Drive thru town, making left turn after Burger King/BP gas station. Drive thru downtown, cross river and take right turn on 71 West. Continue about 5 miles along River, once you see entrance sign, one block, turn right on Lot 29# Lone Point Shelter( not marked well ) Head to Boat ramp.

!! This is not Starved Rock visitor center, this is NOT Starved Rock boat center- please take 71 west to get here from i-80. If you end up at Starved Rock, continue on 71 East till you see Lot #29 Lone Point Shelter at bottom of hill.
