What we’re about
This is a place for members of the Hong Kong Photography Club (HKPC) to organise photography outings and meetings. The club was started in April 2006 and is an English-speaking club. We are a very multicultural group and all are welcome.
Although we have members of all abilities, you will probably get the most out of the club if you have an SLR camera or at least a camera with some manual settings. We don't offer classes on how to operate your camera, so if you are interested in learning more, you might like to take a basic class before joining the club.
We are always looking for members interested in organising outings.

The idea of this outing is to take pictures at night and try to convey the night scenes forcefully which requires a different expertise than daytime photography,
We would attempt to capture night scenes by exploring different shades of light, shadows, spaces, solitude, and silence by using street scenes and situations… (please see the photos added in the album here for some ideas on the theme).
Meeting Time & Place :
7pm at Sai Ying Pun MTR Station Exit C (street level).We will meet 7.00pm at Sai Ying Pun MTR Station Exit C (street level). From there we would walk in a group of three members taking pictures through some quiet and interesting backstreets around the area leading to Man Mo Temple. After the photo taking, we would regroup for a drink, socialising and photo sharing 8:30pm onwards at Ollies Bar & Grill (G/F & 1/F, 151-155 Hollywood Road, Central . It is located opposite the famous Man Mo Temple)

FINALLY: For every image you post, please comment on at least one other image, no matter if you think you are qualified to comment or not. You can always give some constructive comments with regard to Colour, Tone, Light, Action, Pattern, Balance, Composition, Visual and Emotional appeal of the image/s. This group is about sharing and learning from each other.
