The Houston Bitcoin Meetup is open to all who want to learn and discuss bitcoin, whether you’re in the industry or just hearing about bitcoin for the first time. We'll review the most recent and relevant developments in the bitcoin world over the past month to start as usual.
In the past month, Square announced it would be making bitcoin payments available in its payment terminal for all Square merchants (to be rolled our later this year and next), the trend of public companies becoming dedicated bitcoin acquisition vehicles continues to expand, the proposal to remove the Op_Return limit from Bitcoin Core relay policy (not a consensus rule) was merged (but not yet released), and bitcoin hashrate steadily marches higher. We've got a lot of big items to discuss.
