Join us in this session to explore flourishing not as an endpoint we can engineer, but as an unfolding process that arises when life is allowed to generate new possibilities. Flourishing is relational, ecological, and open-ended—something that emerges when we understand ourselves as creatures of interdependence. Human and planetary thriving, it turns out, are inseparable.

The challenges we face today are not just problems waiting for innovative solutions. They are predicaments that ask us to reconsider what it means to be human. If we continue to approach the future with yesterday’s habits of problem-solving and control, we will miss what flourishing truly requires.

The presentation and discussion will be from 3:00 - 4:30. Afterwards, gather with other Saturday session attendees in the gallery for refreshments and socializing.

Presenter: Lauren Hebert is a facilitator, designer, and thinker whose work integrates complexity science, life-aligned design, and participatory innovation. She has led collaborative efforts in contexts ranging from early stage venture to crisis response to higher education and government. Her current focus is on systemic flourishing: helping people and organizations attune to complexity, reimagine worldviews, and design institutions and technologies that align with living systems.

Lauren is a Director at the Flourishing Systems Foundation (https://www.flourishing.foundation/) (FSF), located in San Francisco, CA. FSF provides new infrastructure to help founders build generative rather than extractive ventures. She also organizes Relational in St. Paul, MN, which hosts events and offers accessible space for small group gatherings (https://www.thelivingroom.space/).
