Movie: Our November offering is The Running Man (2025)
Synopsis: In a near-future TV sensation, desperate father Ben Richards enters The Running Man, a deadly game where contestants are hunted for sport. His courage and defiance make him a fan favourite—and a threat to the corrupt system behind the show. This is a 21st century retelling of the Stephen King classic, more closely aligned to the original novel than the 1978 movie.
Food and Discussion: Following the movie, we will meet at Portside Dumpling Bar for some delicious dumplings (vegetarian and other offerings also) and an opportunity to discuss the movie and its implications for Humanism.
