HPS Anniversary Potluck!

August marks TWO YEARS since the formation of the Huntsville Psychedelic Society! What better way to celebrate than with tasty food and good conversation? 🎉🎂

Come join us on Wednesday August 13th for a community potluck! Please post in the comments to share what dish you’re bringing. I’ll provide utensils, plates, drinks, and my go-to deviled eggs 😋

This event will take place indoors and we will spend the evening munching and mingling. Our group integration and discussion meetings will resume as normal in September.

If you are curious about who we are — we are a welcoming, open-minded community in Huntsville dedicated to the discussion, education, and integration of psychedelics and plant medicines.

This group is for:

1. Peer education and harm reduction around psychedelic use.

2. Emotional support and integration of members' experiences of psychedelics and plant medicine, which includes psilocybin ("magic mushrooms"), ayahuasca, MDMA, LSD, etc.

These substances are increasingly used in therapeutic settings to treat Depression, Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and various addictions. They are also often used recreationally and as spiritual or entheogenic aids.

Because of the War on Drugs and the moral panic of the 1960's over LSD, many people are reluctant to seek guidance or community support, though the experiences they have may be profound and meaningful. This group is intended to be a judgment free venue for discussion of personal experience and a resource for novices or the curious.
