Women helping women

We will be organizing, cleaning, assembling, or painting in service of immigrant mothers and children staying in the Posada Esperanza community. More details on specific activities will be added to this Meetup a few days prior.

  • Meet between 9:30-9:45 @ Casa Marianella
  • 9:45 sharp - we'll drive a short distance to the women's-only community (secure location)
  • Volunteer 10 AM - 12 PM
  • 12 - optional lunch, lots of neat places nearby

Posada Esperanza is the family shelter of Casa Marianella. They are a full-service transitional housing program for immigrant mothers and their children, escaping domestic or cultural violence. Occupying four homes in East Austin, they currently house 14 mothers and nearly 30 children.
