About us
We’re happy you’re here 💛
### 🌟 About the Group
I created this group for active, open, polite, and sociable people who genuinely enjoy meeting new people and spending time together.
We’re true extroverts! ✨
We love dining in beautiful places, having meaningful conversations, watching movies, playing games, and organizing fun outdoor activities together.
Our goal is to build a warm, respectful, and engaging community where people come not just for events, but for connection.
### 🤝 Our Team
The group is co-hosted by VAS, who helps keep everything running smoothly and the community active when I’m not in the Bay Area.
We also have regular event hosts, such as John and Asterios, who lead some of our recurring events and contribute to the continuity, atmosphere, and quality of the group.
We’re truly grateful for the time, energy, and care our hosts put into creating meaningful experiences for the community 🙌
### 🌿 Our Main Rule
Please treat all group members and organizers with respect — at events, in chats, and in comments.
We aim to maintain an open, friendly, and supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable and welcome.
### 💛 About Contributions
The group is free to join.
To support our activities — cover Meetup, Zoom, and other organizational costs — and to make it possible to host diverse, high-quality events, we organize sometimes paid events.
Prices are symbolic and usually range from $2–$10.
We also gratefully accept donations, which help us grow and create even better experiences for the community 🤗
### 🍽️ About Our Group Dinners
Some of our events, especially group dinners, require restaurant reservations and fixed seating.
To stay fair to our regular members and respectful to our venue partners, priority is given to members who attend events consistently.
New members may be moved from “Going” to “Waitlist” until they clearly confirm their attendance.
### 💡 Share Your Ideas & Become a Host
We love when members bring new ideas and energy into the group!
If you have an idea for an event and would like to host, feel free to DM me, and I’ll share our hosting guidelines.
Hosting is a privilege earned through consistent involvement. We do not “cold-assign” hosting duties to new members.
To be considered as a host, we look for the following:
- Regular attendance at any type of our events for at least 3 months
- Understanding of our mission and group development goals
- Acceptance of and alignment with our values
- Strong people & communication skills and the ability to build trust within the community
- Organizational skills — managing RSVPs, communicating with venues, and ensuring everyone feels welcomed
- A clear intention to host events one-time or on a regular basis
- Clear event planning — including time, location, number of guests, and other details
All events must be submitted to a group leader for approval. Once approved, we publish them together, and you can grow and develop as a host within the community.
💛
This group grows not because of numbers, but because of the people who show up with openness, curiosity, and respect.
If this resonates with you — welcome.
We’re looking forward to meeting you at one of our events!
