What we’re about
The mission of the Idaho Chapter Sierra Club is simple: to explore, enjoy, and protect the planet. Our outings and events are free and open to members and non-members alike.
The Idaho Sierra Club is a member-supported non-profit organization working to promote the conservation of Idaho's natural environment and climate by influencing public policy decisions through grassroots involvement.
The Sierra Club's members and supporters are more than 3.5 million of your friends and neighbors across the country. We are America's oldest, largest and most influential grassroots conservation organization.

Join the Idaho Sierra Club for an ADA-Accessible Stroll & Roll. We'll meet at Old Timer's Shelter at Ann Morrison Park to kick off the event with a free picnic and community-building. Then, we'll head out on a 2.11 mile stroll & roll along paved sections of the Greenbelt, stopping occasionally to take in the river views and take a breather as needed. We'll also be sharing about some of Boise's ADA-accessible trail options, as well as trails with accessible enhancements. It'll be fun--we hope you can join us! - Beginner Camping Trip in StanleyNeeds location
Join Idaho Sierra Club for an easy/beginner overnight car camping trip to Wood River Campground near Stanley, ID! Celebrate the Sawtooth Salmon Festival in Stanley, enjoy a relaxing evening in the woods, and stay a bit longer in Stanley the next day to partake in Salmon Fest's yoga class, Sunbeam dam tour, or Fire Ecology walk!
This event will be accessible to complete beginners, and a great opportunity for those around Idaho to build community outdoors in a safe and inclusive space. We'll also be sharing more about how to get involved in our campaigns for indigenous-led wildlife recovery, clean energy advocacy, and climate justice.
