Lunch/Happy Hour about noon.

WE OFTEN TEE-OFF EARLY SO ALL BE READY!

Typically tee times are every Friday starting at 9:40AM, however times are subject to availability and can change.

Check-in, pay golf fee, meet the host at first hole, form foursomes.

Seniors (62 and over) non-resident rate for walking 9 holes is $22, $17.60 with VIP card. Riding add $12 per rider. To obtain the senior rate you must arrive extra early your first time and provide proof of age at the pro shop. After that you can skip the pro shop and pay at the starter station by #1 tee. Non-Residents can purchase a VIP 9 hole Discount Card $30, providing 20% discount on green fees only. Play 8 times and the 20% VIP Discount of $4.00 pays for itself.

Lunch/Happy Hour will follow directly after golf in the outside patio area at Reserve 22, in the Village Links Clubhouse. Non-players are welcome to join us on the patio starting approximately noon. Reserve 22 policy is no separate checks, however, if we pay CASH they will honor separate checks.

Please pay with CASH for Lunch/Happy Hour.

This is recreational golf. Purpose is for fun, sun, and fellowship. All that is needed is to keep a reasonable pace. If you are a good golfer with little patience, this is not for you!

Weather - Village Links has a liberal policy of providing credit for leaving the course for any reason. We plan to play once per week on Fridays. Consider downloading the free "Village Links of Glen Ellyn" app to your smartphone. The app includes GPS so you always know how far you are from the pin. Questions? Message your event host John.

8/08/2025 FREAKY FRIDAY'S PICKLEBALL FOR ALL LEVELS 10:00-12:00PM

Please, sign up early as our number of spots fill quickly. Feel free to bring a friend or two. This weekly event is designed for all levels of players.
PICKLED has 8 courts. We will be assigned the number of courts which are appropriate for the size of our group. This could change each week.
The cost per person is $7.00 for a 2 hour session If possible, bring the exact amount.** Pay the Host from INDY, unless you are using a credit card OR Have paid through Court Reserve.
We may have drop in people who are not in our group....Welcome them, Please.

Beginners will learn the basic rules and strategies. Advanced players will enjoy doing what we like to do...Play Pickleball AND Continue Learning.
You will be amazed with how quickly your skills increase with practice.

The only Rule is to have FUN! While being Safe.
WE EMPHASIZE COURT ETIQUITE.... Always show support for the other 3 players on the court.. Lets always remember we all started as Beginners.
Paddles and balls will be provided for those new to the game.
Be sure to bring fluids to drink. Gatorade is a great option.
Wearing Tennis shoes is best as they are made for the playing surface and much safer to wear. The proper shoes could help avoid injuries. Shop Smart!!

Take an easy 2 or 4 mile walk at Herrick Lake Forest Preserve .

Use the East lot off Butterfield Road. Meet at 3:30 at the flagpole by the boathouse. East side of the Butterfield Rd. parking lot.

At the first intersection on the trail, return to the parking lot on a different path (for a total distance of two miles) or continue on an additional two mile loop. Flat limestone trails. Leisurely pace (2.5 mph or so). Leashed dogs welcome. Cancelled if it's raining. Get a map of the trails (http://www.dupageforest.org/Herrick_Lake_Map.aspx) .
