Infrastructure Coders September Meetup @ Plenti

After over 2 years we are finally able to get back together as a community and share our knowledge on everything that is Infrastructure as Code!

I am very excited to announce the speakers and the topics of their talks for the Infrastructure Coders Sydney September Meetup event, which is this Thursday at the Plenti office in Sydney. Once again a big thank you to the speakers, the sponsors and the community!

Chris Fowles - Director of Technology at Plenti

Crossplane on EKS…
"As we start building applications with Kubernetes on public cloud, how do we enable developers to utilise cloud resources without needing to learn multiple tool stacks? Crossplane is an open source control plane framework built on top of Kubernetes to orchestrate your cloud the same way you do your applications. Chris will talk a little about Plenti’s journey adopting Crossplane, how it differs from the IaC tools we’re used to, and some of the early lessons we’ve learnt."

Tali Friedman - Solutions Engineering Manager, APAC at LaunchDarkly

Go faster, be safer...
"We often think about speed and danger as being closely related, but we now have empirical proof that faster, smaller releases tend to cause fewer outages and less downtime for our software systems. In this talk Tali will talk about strategies to increase speed while reducing risk followed by an interactive short demo."

Jürgen Weber - Lead Site Reliability Engineer at Deltatre

Infra (Home) Coders Update: Lightning talk

"Its an update of my home automation journey and how I have applied an infrastructure as code mindset to create my own smart-home."

630pm - Doors Open (networking, food & refreshments)
700pm - Talk 1 - Chris Fowles - "Crossplane on EKS"
730pm - Lightening Talk - Jurgen Weber
745pm - Short break (networking & refreshments)
