These IoT/Technology Meetups are held on the first Thursday of each month (except Jan. and July when we'll meet the following Thursday) and are free to anyone interested in the business of high technology.

What are the most important Technological Trends impacting the business world today and in the near future.

Phillip will cover the positive and negative effects of

  • Artificial Intelligence,
  • the transition from the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) to the 5th Industrial Revolution (5IR)

and how to handle the

  • Digital Transformation and
  • the Industrial Metaverse.

Finally, Phillip will address the critical skills required to thrive in the 5th Industrial Revolution, which is considered the Second Renaissance, and the threat of the increasing gap between The Haves and The Have-Nots.

Phillip Andrews
has worked as an internal consultant for major corporations, like Ford and GE, and as an external Consultant for companies like EDS and Deloitte. He led the EDS Consulting Division, and he was instrumental in growing it from 71 to 462 employees in just two years.

Currently, he is involved in projects related to smart factories and smart cities.

He has received an award from the Institute of Management Consultants for his long and distinguished career.

He is an accomplished author, international speaker, thought leader, futurist, and Adjunct Professor at SMU. All his students are graduate students working for Lockheed Martin in Ft. Worth.

He has served on the Boards of 16 organizations and continues to serve on the Boards of two organizations, including the International Innovation Centers, which is a virtual enterprise acting as a Think Tank for Smart Cities.

Phillip is currently an advisor to a British Architectural firm that performs Smart City projects in Nepal, Bhutan, and Kenya.

The meeting location has been moved to SpringHill Suites (east Richardson) near the intersection of Geo. Bush and E. Renner Rd. (2 blocks south on Shiloh from the Methodist Hospital at Renner and Shiloh - see below for details). Come early and stay late if you can. Bar opens at 5 pm (self-paid). Program runs from 6:30 to 7:45 pm.

These are hybrid and free events. For those that can attend in person, it allows us to come together and network with other IoT and technology professionals, business execs, entrepreneurs, etc... and help us find resources, talent and solutions to our issues... and learn about new trends and tech in the industry.

Come early and stay late if you can (bar opens at 5 pm. - self paid. Leave whenever you like... or when the bar closes.)

The folks that attend have technical and business expertise in many varied segments of the IoT/tech industry... from end device/sensor/actuator builders, to connectivity gurus (wired, wireless, satellite), to backend computer systems/platforms and analytic tools specialists... and even edge computing/processing, security and AI/ML/ChatGPT/Agentic AI and Quantum experts.
