This bring-your-own book club is a fun chill way to get through that pile of books you have and make some new friends on the way.
We meet at the Artist Collective, at the Dos Lagos center. The owners let us use the couches free. Its a super nice studio where you can take paint or take lessons. You can park in the front or there is often more parking in the back. There is a doorbell in the back, feel free to ring if you need to get in. There are a few restaurants and some Boba shops, you can buy a waterbottle, I try to bring snacks, but don't always. feel free to bring any food or drinks.
Just bring your book to read or if you want to write you can bring a notebook or a laptop, we will spend about 15 minutes getting settled, and you can bring a drink or snack or buy something from the studio.
At 6:30-6:45, I will start us to read. We will read in silence for about an hour and a half you can listen to music or audiobook through headphones if you please.
At around 7:45-8 I'll call the timer, and we will each talk just a little about what we read or wrote and get to know each other, or you can take off whenever you want.
Younger readers are welcome, but anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a corresponding adult. And this is a public group, so adult language and subject matter may come up in book discussion. Just a warning.
