When you wake up, you know that something has gone terribly wrong.

You are trapped, far below the surface, in the secret government research base that you were working in up until this morning, exploring the boundary between the known world and speculated realities just beyond human perception. Then, an enormous shockwave rocketed the installation deep below the desert, plunging the facility into darkness. Now, illuminated by the faint red shine of an emergency light, you find that around you there is debris, your dead colleagues, and the rhythmic blaring of emergency sirens.

The only way out is up.

Subsurface is a game about escaping a subterranean catastrophe, fighting your way up against the horrors that were unleashed at your behest.

The game uses six sided dice.
