Oct. 1, 4;30 PM: Relaxing walk in Rockwood Park

Hello Friends! Shortly after leading the First Day Hike in Pocahontas State Park my husband sustained serious injuries and I haven't done much hiking since. I'm easing back in to Meetup with a Rockwood Park walk. For those unfamiliar with Rockwood Park the trails are fairly easy, many of them paved for handicapped access; but there are side trails that all reward with views of different microbiomes. I always see turtles here, cormorants, and a variety of ducks. There are also orchids and other wildflowers. I hope for a brisk walk that allows us to pause and gaze upon the small wonders of the woods. We'll meet in the Nature Center parking lot. Bring water and binoculars if you wish.
