Mar 29 - 10 AM ~ Oregon Hill Overlook to Chapel Island Hike
Details
Anticipated weather on Hike Day
This hike will begin at the Oregon Hill Overlook near the intersection of S. Pine Street and Oregon Hill Parkway. We'll follow Tredegar Street to the Canal Walk and pick up the Capital Trail near the spot where Lincoln landed in April, 1865. At the Great Ship Lock park we will cross the locks to Chapel Island where John Smith and Christopher Newport landed in 1607. After a brief tour of the island we will return to our starting point.
If you are unfamiliar with the meet up location and parking availability, add a few minutes to your travel schedule so you can find us.
