Rubina Mazurka's "A Rustle in the Grass", Music Concert

Details
Soprano Rubina Mazurka with pianist Dwight Okamura at the Clarion for "A Rustle in the Grass": an afternoon of musical rustles (arias and songs) each with their own story to tell - like blades of grass.
As usual, each piece will be ingrained into the overarching theme of the program.
Rubina Mazurka and Dwight Okamura will perform Rubina's original arrangements of two mid-17th-century arias, Strozzi's "Che si può fare" with a modern chordal realization and anonymous "Aria di Chiesa" in an arrangement for piano, violin, and voice. In addition, they will perform a contemporary piece by Devin Farney, "Short-Sighted Serenade".
The rest of the program will consist of selections from your favorite composers: Beethoven, Granados, Tárrega, Mozart, Offenbach, Verdelot, Cilea, and Verdi.
The performance will feature:
Christian Bernal, tenor
Jennifer Park, mezzo-soprano
Allie Mangel, violin
Simon Cohen, piano
