CBS Film Series presents "Thirteen" & "Gary's Letter" with Director Q&A

Details
**Q&A with "Thirteen" director Allison Norlian**
Thirteen - A devoted mother is determined to honor her child, who is profoundly disabled, with a Bat Mitzvah, a rite of passage she believes her daughter deserves. However, aspirations clash with tradition as her rabbi opposes the ceremony citing longstanding practices. Secrets emerge from the rabbi's past, forcing him into a crossroads to preserve tradition or embrace change.
Gary's Letter - Gary Sternberg was a blackjack dealer at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Driven by curiosity or perhaps a sense of unfinished history, he enters the address of his birthplace into a search engine. To his surprise, he discovers that his parents’ names are etched into memorial stones placed in front of his childhood home in Cuxhaven, Germany. Moved by this unexpected find, he reaches out to the current residents of the house making a new connection to the country he had long left behind.
Both films are based on true events with outcomes leaving a lasting impact.
