About us
The Assembly Improv is a Johannesburg-based improv community for people who want to play, laugh, and get better at being human—using comedy as the excuse.
We run classes and jams in long-form improv (think: scenes and stories, not stand-up), with a big focus on supportive collaboration. You don’t need to be “naturally funny.” You just need to be willing to try things, be kind, and occasionally commit to the bold choice of pretending you’re a pirate dentist.
