Bane Canyon Short Loop Trail (Chino Hills New Years Day Hike)
Details
Let's kick off the New Year and this AMAZING group with a short New Years Day Hike!
2.5mi Length
387ft Elevation gain
1–1.5hr Estimated time
Loop:
This is a pretty trail through Chino Hills State Park, with great views of the rolling hills surrounding it. The terrain is a little rocky, with some steep inclines, so suitable footwear is recommended. The trail is very exposed, with no shade at all, so leave nice and early and bring sun protection and plenty of water in the hotter months.
Recent Review:
Parking was of no issue at street level. The short loop trail is a great trail for beginners that are trying to get comfortable with some steep inclines. This route was slightly challenging on the inclines but the short route makes it manageable. I would suggest wearing long sleeves and comfortable pants since the trail is not that maintained, the plants tend to grow toward the center of the trail. I don’t mind it, just something to note.
