It's been almost 2 years, let's go again!

•Thursday: Feel free to show up on Thursday to start the unwinding and relaxation process in the cool whispering pines with views.
•Friday: we might do a hike, explore the area or paddle.
••Saturday: Meet at the boat ramp of Willow Springs Lake at 8:30 am for a day of paddling. Bring a snack/lunch and water.
•Time permitting and group consensus, head to Woods Canyon Lake afterwards for paddling and/or an ice cream cone from the general store.
•POTLUCK on Saturday afternoon around 5pm.
What to bring:
•Hat, sunscreen, PFD (life vest)
•Kayak, paddle, gloves
•Camp gear, food, water
•Hammock
•Games (I'll bring Cornhole, Yahtzee, Skip-Bo, Phase 10,Dominoes and Cribbage)
•Bear Cannister if you have one
•Firewood? Fires may not be allowed that time of year.

•PFD's must be worn properly while on the water, no alcohol consumption while on the water.

Come and spend the weekend enjoying Bluegrass music in Prescott Square.
•FREE music event is actually on Saturday/Sunday but come early to enjoy the area.
•You could bring a kayak, bicycle or hiking shoes to enjoy those local activities at your leisure if hanging out listening to bluegrass isn't an all day activity for you.

Price is $20/night for RV, van or pop-up along edge of field.
Price is also $20/night for tent in the soft grassy infield.
•Camping is available Thursday, June 19-Monday June 23, 2025.
•The middle school is directly across the street from the festival so you can easily walk to shops, eateries and The Meadery, more entertainment, the river walk/pathway and the venue itself.
•I will not be organizing any extracurricular activities but feel free to hike, kayak or bicycle on the local paths and lakes.
•There are "mini-concerts" in the campground as some of the musicians stay there and jam all day and into the nights.
•We'll do our best to sit together under the cool oak trees for the music.

•Anacapa’s reefs are home to critters found in the colder northern parts of the state, as well as those from the warmer southern waters. Surface temperatures commonly reach 70° F (21° C) in late summer and fall. Most divers use a 7mm wetsuit or drysuit all year-round when diving Anacapa Island. Visibility at Anacapa averages 30’ (10M) year-round but can be as good as 100’ (30M) when conditions are favorable.
Like most California diving, dives at Anacapa Island are self-guided. The boat provides a divemaster who will check you on and off the boat. They can assist you with problems at the surface like a scuba lifeguard.
The dive site Coral Reef is arguably one of the best dive sites at Anacapa Island. It offers a towering rock wall covered with colorful sponges, gorgonians, and anemones.An easier dive, the historical wreck of the Winfield Scott lies in very shallow water on the north side of Anacapa. This paddle-wheeler ran aground in 1853 and divers can still see sections of the giant paddle wheel amid other debris overgrown with reef life.
•Entry is a giant stride from the boat deck but divers may also exit from the large stern mounted swim-step. Most dives are near the island in depths from just a few feet up to about 50 feet. It is possible to do deeper dives but not required. The Spectre stays anchored during the dive using both a bow anchor in front and a stern anchor behind. This system keeps the boat stationary over the dive sites. Each dive lasts about an hour depending on a diver’s air consumption. The boat does three dives per day at different dive sites. Snorkelers may also enjoy these trips since the boat is usually close to shallow areas.
The bottom is rocky reef and sand. Some spots offer kelp forests, walls, and pinnacles. Hundreds of plants and small animals share the reefs with many varieties of fish including kelp bass, sheepshead, and garibaldi. It is not unusual to spot sea lions, seals, lobsters, bat rays, horn sharks, moray eels, and occasionally giant black sea bass as well as blacksmith perch, sardines, mackerel, anchovies, and other small schooling fish. The more you look the more you see unguided!

• •For first time dives in California, Anacapa is the best choice. It is close to the mainland and offers a perfect introduction to California diving. There is something for everyone and local divers choose Anacapa again and again.
