With Kadampa Buddhist Teacher Ron Caldwell

In this Valentine’s Day silent retreat, we will engage in contemplations on loving-kindness. In Buddha’s teachings, love is known as the great protector, protecting us from negative minds such as hatred, anger, jealousy, attachment and pride. Love leads us to good intentions and positive actions. Inspired by a loving mind, we act in positive, peaceful ways to benefit others.

Practicing silence is more than not speaking. Silence helps us develop an inner quality of stillness. When we stop the chatter and distractions of everyday life, we can listen to the Dharma within our heart and develop deep insight that will guide us to new ways of being that bring peace to both ourselves and others. Everyone is welcome, no experience is necessary.

Silence will be kept during the entire retreat. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own vegetarian bagged lunch to enjoy onsite during the lunch break.
