Hike and Christmas Market: Herrenwies, Schwarzwald - 8.5 km, 300 hm

This is a special event. There's a small christmas market in a village high up in Black Forest. It's one of the first to take place in the region and lasts for only two days. We are going to have a short hike and then go to the christmas market. We might even have some snow.

Hike details:

• 8.5 km, 300 hm ascent, highest point at 1002 m above sea level
• sights include Herrenwies lake, a viewpoint over two lakes, Badener Höhe tower with more views
• (lower) medium difficulty

Getting there:

• take RE 2 at Karlsruhe Hbf, 10:07, platform 6
• in Bühl (Baden) change to Bus 263
• arriving in Herrenwies Dorfplatz at 11:16
• coming by car? Join us at the bus stop, there's lots of parking space nearby.

What to bring:

• weather-appropriate clothing - it's going to be cold
• lots of water
• food / snacks
