We can get an early dinner after - the theater is on the Plaza; the closest restaurant (about 3 blocks) is Kin Lin (Chinese), but we can choose another restaurant, if those attending would prefer.

Let's Walk - Unity Village Nature Trail

Easy 2.6 mile hike. Unity Village is a special place. There is also a Labyrinth & a bookstore.

This class explores the medicinal properties of common weeds found in the Kansas City area. Participants will learn to identify, harvest, and prepare local plants for herbal remedies, covering traditional uses, safety considerations, and sustainable foraging practices. Perfect for herbal enthusiasts, gardeners, and nature lovers! Each participant will receive a booklet with information about the plants covered in class, plus recipes for working with the plants.

This is a three session series (one class each month in May, June, and July), I plan to attend all three classes, but this Meetup is only for the May class.
If folks would like to grab a drink or something to eat on the Plaza after the class, I would be happy to do that.

Bring your Kayak or rent one. Rentals are online & have a 7 day advance window. I plan to get two one hour blocks,which gives you 2.5 hours. Plenty to cruise this lake!

Bring a picnic lunch! and sunscreen
