Don Laskey is a historian and park interpreter with almost a decade of experience. After earning a master’s in history from Central Michigan University, he was the lead interpreter at Fort Delaware State Park for several years and demonstrated everything from blacksmithing to historical weapons.
For the past two years he has worked for Jackson County Parks + Rec as a living history interpreter at Fort Osage National Historic Landmark. There he helps the public gain a deeper understanding of the history of Fort Osage and its role in American expansion, American Indian diplomacy, and the fur trade.
