Infrastructure as Code (IaC) has revolutionized how we provision and manage technology resources, bringing automation, consistency, and repeatability to complex environments. Terraform has long been a cornerstone of IaC, enabling organizations to define and version their infrastructure declaratively. However, as cloud-native practices mature and Kubernetes adoption accelerates, new paradigms are emerging. This presentation will explore the evolution of IaC and chart a course for migrating from Terraform to Crossplane, a powerful open-source Kubernetes add-on that extends the Kubernetes API to manage and provision infrastructure from multiple cloud providers.

I am a Technical Lead at Redfin, specializing in cloud and Kubernetes. I focus on optimizing our Kubernetes landscape for efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness—including leading initiatives with significant financial impact. I hold CKA, CKAD, and CKS certifications, and work closely with application teams to maximize their Kubernetes success.
