Lafayette June First Sunday Bird Walk
Details
Lafayette birds is a recurring event on the first Sunday of every month. Visit every month and enjoy the transition of birds throughout the seasons.
During June we will start seeing are resident nesting summer birds. In fact, right now, there are some nice Yellow Warblers in the cottonwoods around the lake , and even some Warbling Vireos. As the summer kicks in our resident Swainson's hawks appear and will nest and fledge right over your heads in the nearby cottonwoods. Late summer and fall shorebirds often stop at the Greenlee mash.
