Hastings Lake Forest preserve was established in 2003 and named for Hastings Lake YMCA, a camp which had previously occupied this property 1923-2002. The YMCA of metro Chicago continues to operate a smaller facility on an adjoining property.

Four miles of paved and gravel trails wind thru open fields, meadows and stately trees, and wetlands create a scenic natural environment.

The 80 acre lake features 12,000 feet of shoreline and many scenic vistas.

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY:

In consideration of the risk of injury that exists while participating in hiking and outing events and activities,
my desire to participate in said activity Lake Villa Day Hiking Meetup 2.0 Group, its organizers, co organizers, event organizers, event hosts, and all its Affiliates from all and any physical injury or damages I may suffer as a direct result of my participation in the aforementioned activity including travel before, after, and during the said event and any and all injuries and damages even if caused by negligence of Lake Villa Day Hiking Meetup 2.0Group, its agents, organizers and any other leaders in anyway connected to this event.

I am Voluntarily Participating in the aforementioned activity and I am participating in the activity entirely at my own risk.

I agree my guests will be made aware of this Waiver and Release of Liability.
