Frequently Asked Questions
Why are you starting yet another meetup group for outdoor events? Meetup has a lot of those already
- You're right, there are a lot of existing groups that have weekday or weekend events for activities such as hiking , but I've noticed that they either don't happen at a specific interval, at locations that were decided without input from the community, or don't really foster much of a community. The latter being one of the core problems I want to solve with this group.
Will you ever charge for this group or events?
- Nope! The group itself will always be free to join, and most events won’t cost a thing. From time to time, there might be optional ways to chip in to help with things like Meetup fees or making the group even better, but that’s totally up to you. The only time an event might have a cost is if there are unavoidable expenses, like renting a space or making a group reservation.
