What we're about

Inspired by over 40 years of continuous effort by the Joint National Committee for Languages (JNCL), the objective of Canadian Language Advocacy Day (LAD) was to create an informal coalition of language rights advocates, individuals and organizations who participated in an informational, VIRTUAL advocacy day at Queen's Park on February 4th, 2021.

The long term objective was to establish an ongoing language policy forum and explore the role of language within the context of social justice, education and economic recovery as well as to inspire day of action across Canada and the world .

Our task here is to primarily give us a voice and serve as a connector - with your representatives, your peers, language advocates, and with how-to knowledge (advocacy and communication training, briefings) to encourage you to pursue your language justice agenda with confidence.
