Who:
Creative Writing Club

What:
We will meet and write short stories based on random prompts. Sometimes it’s a sentence, sometimes it’s a picture, other times just a single word. The goal is to get at least 500 words written in 30 minutes and maybe turn it into something bigger in the future.

Where:
Quartier FoodHall - 647/2 Sukhumvit Rd, Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand. In the basement below the Gourmet Market near the Starbucks side.

When:
Every Wednesday Night, 6-8 PM.

Why:
Give people a series of locked parameters in the form of prompts with a specific deadline, and they tend to focus better and learn faster.

How:
Show up with a charged laptop or pen and paper to write with, and grab something to eat or drink from the food court if you like, while we get settled.
Choose from two types of writing prompts given at the start of the meeting and write for 30 minutes.

Examples from previous meetings…

First Prompt - Single Word:
Salacious

Second Prompt - Locked Parameters:
Tw people arguing in a restaurant when a crazy person decides to inject themselves into it with absurd consequences.

After the writing session, you can either show what you have written, briefly discuss it, or, if you are comfortable, submit it to the Google Drive folder as a shared document with comment privileges enabled for everyone.

For those who want to convert their short stories into script format, please submit them as PDFs after a proper critique.
