COME ONE COME ALL!!!

We are excited to announce our second collaboration with the DTLA Chess Club!! We're all getting together to play some chess on a beautiful rooftop lounge in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. The Hoxton Hotel is an absolutely beautiful environment, surrounded by some of the coolest architecture the city has to offer. If you are a regular of the DTLA Chess Club, you know where this is, as this hotel is a mere frisbee throw away! This unique event will have all of the usual chess social shenanigans; casual/competitive chess, camaraderie, and libations!

You might be wondering why we have a theme this time! In short, it is mostly due to the performances we have in mind. The three acts we have selected are nothing short of mesmerizing! However, we cannot spoil the surprise! Just imagine a beautiful open-air patio, with live acts visible from the street, where chess players from across the city are doing what they love best! There will be players of all skill levels! Additionally, for those strong players, there will be a dedicated "King of the Hill" table, with a special prize for the longest reigning competitor!

Optional Considerations:
We are encouraging our guests to throw on some classy clothes for the occasion! (If possible of course)
We've also got some new custom-made, one of a kind, Chess Social hats and sweaters available (first come first serve).
Some of us are getting hotel rooms there, as we plan to plan chess late into the evening (and we might want to use the rooftop jacuzzi). Rooms are not terribly expensive, if you find the convenience worth it.

We recommend arriving on the early side, so that the transition from sunset to clear starry-night can be thoroughly enjoyed!
