Laveda Jones—a conscious rapper and political scientist known for fusing activism and art—steers this festival through Laveda Jones Productions, the creative and organizing force behind the event. Jones has gained attention for his socially charged work, including his satirical book American History: Make America Great Again Edition, and his #RhymesForResistance campaign that amplifies protest through music and poetry EIN Presswire.
Aligned with the One Million Rising movement’s mission to build collective action through artistic expression, this festival transforms Perry Park into a stage for resistance, dialogue, and empowerment.

Perry Park, located at 2700 N. 32nd Street, was revitalized earlier in 2025 through a grand reopening that enhanced its facilities and community potential Facebook. This makes it an ideal venue for large-scale gatherings that blend culture and advocacy.
