Retirement is a Fresh Start
Details
In his novel, The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald writes “Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.”
I believe the same can be said for retirement.
Retirement has offered many of us a fresh start and if we choose it, an opportunity to grow and evolve into the best version of ourselves.
Has retirement given you a new perspective about how you want to show up in the world? Where in your life do you feel you have become more skillful?
Are you less quick to judge yourself and others? Are you more likely to release the need to control outcomes? Do you find yourself savoring small pleasures more often? Are you more willing to admit when you are wrong? Are you listening more deeply? Are you laughing more often, especially at yourself? Are you noticing your patterns, triggers, and habitual responses?
On this crisp fall day, let’s explore the ways life is starting over again for each of us—and how we’re learning to respond more skillfully to the challenges and joys of living.
As always, we look forward to engaging discussion and creating community as we learn from each other, evolve, and grow in this chapter of our lives. If you are able, join us for a social hour after our discussion at a local restaurant.
