Sunday 5th October: 17 miles from Outney Common, Bungay

I will be leading the October Legstretcher.

The walk is on Sunday 5th October at 9.30am & it's 17 miles.

It will be a lovely walk through south Norfolk & north Suffolk. The route will take us through & round the top of Outney common, through Earsham, then on through small hamlets of north Suffolk. The walk will be along tracks & footpaths as well as some very quiet lanes.

PLEASE NOTE The car park is small so please car share. Do not park in golf club car park.

Please arrive with plenty of time as the Legstretchers always start promptly on time.

The walk is limited to 25, but please put your name down on the waiting list if it fills.

A MESSAGE FROM GROUP CO-ORDINATORS

Welcome to a Legstretcher walk. We're a friendly & welcoming group. We're keen to recruit anyone who wants to walk longer distances.
The group isn't intended to be overly serious & although our walk leaders are very experienced & highly competent, we want to remain a fun group. We're also keen on inclusion.
Bear in mind that we offer longer walks. You must make sure you bring enough to eat & drink (hydration is important).
Remember 18 miles isn't easy for someone new to walking so make sure you're comfortable walking at a good pace (3.5mph i.e. 7 miles in 2 hours).
You'll need to join Ramblers after you've come on 3 Ramblers' walks.
