I expecting this to be a fantastic National Theatre Live event. So good in fact that our Meetup group has scheduled it twice so as many of our group can see it as possible.
You can see it Saturday evening (see Roxane and Jackie's separately scheduled event) or, if you can't make Saturday evening (25th) then you can join me on Sunday Afternoon (26th).

We can meet in the Phoenix Cafe area around 3:00-3:15 (performance starts at 3:30) for a drink and chat before the film; and afterwards as well if you like.

PLEASE NOTE:
NT Live screenings at the Phoenix regularly sell out. Therefore I strongly recommend buying your ticket well in advance.
(When you purchase your ticket you have to choose a seat; fyi, I am in seat H7)

Synopsis:
Five-time Olivier Award winner Imelda Staunton (The Crown) joins forces with her real-life daughter Bessie Carter (Bridgerton) for the very first time, playing mother and daughter in Bernard Shawโ€™s incendiary moral classic.

Vivie Warren is a woman ahead of her time. Her mother, however, is a product of that old patriarchal order. Exploiting it has earned Mrs. Warren a fortune โ€“ but at what cost? Filmed live from the West End, this new production reunites Staunton with director Dominic Cooke (Follies, Good), exploring the clash between morality and independence, traditions and progress.
