Human Determination: The methods and ethics of CAPTCHAs - Job van Achterberg

You're familiar with CAPTCHAs getting in your way. But why are they such a ubiquitous security measure to begin with? Why are there different implementations and which problem are they attempting to solve?

During this lecture you'll learn how these "Human Interactive Proofs" came to be, how they're still evolving, why they are a bad solution to the wrong problem, and which solutions are preferable within a set of common scenarios.

About Job van Achterberg
Job works as tech lead at Tenon, building tools to improve accessibility. He moonlights as a volunteer firefighter, and likes reading about ethics, robots, philosophy and religion.

How will you provide them with value so that they not only keep coming back, but also refer others to you as well?

During this presentation Yvette will share 2 strategies, and 7 techniques that do exactly that. You’ll discover how you can take customer feedback and content that already has proven itself and repurpose that again and again. Without sounding like a broken record. Because you offer the right content, in the right format at the right time.
