“Winter is not a season, it’s a celebration.” — Anamika Mishra

Let’s explore art-meets-ice fishing in the gorgeous frozen landscape of Lake Harriet.
Artists embrace the challenges and opportunities of winter and the ephemeral nature of a frozen winter landscape to create a temporary vibrant and colorful public art community. All projects are open-air.
Gundula will be hosting this event.
Where to meet: look for Gundula at the entrance gate of the festival ON the ice (Lake Harriet). She will be wearing a blue knitted hat with white horses on it (or a red hat if it’s cold). To reach the gate, there are plowed paths that will direct you towards it.
See below picture.
Entrance fee: at the gate, donations are welcomed to support artists and staff. Suggested is $10-20.
Be prepared for wind and slippery surfaces! You might want to bring your cleats.
Parking: there’s a small paid parking lot on the northwest side of the lake, as well as free street parking spots around the parkway that circles the lake. Parking is limited.
There’s also free street parking in the neighborhoods, like by the Lyndale Park Rose Garden or north of the little trolley station (4200 Queen Ave S).
