An approximate 5.5 circular walk, with some ups (approx 450ft of ascent in total) but overall not too difficult! We can however extend the walk on the day if everyone is in agreement. We will walk along the floor of North Dale before walking up out of Lang Dale. Then it is a gradually down hill, mainly on a bridleway with good views over to Wold Top Brewery. Finally we cut across the Fordon Chalk Bank, famed for its butterflies. There is an option though to return to Fordon via the road at this point.

Please wear sensible walking shoes or boots as the ground is uneven in places. Also please dress for the weather - we will walk even if it is raining.

As with our previous walks, this won't be a route march and the group as a whole will determine the pace, but please ask if you have any questions or concerns. Our actual finish time will depend on our pace - please bring refreshments if you would like as we will have at least one stop at some point on the walk.

As we will all have to travel by car, (its about 10 miles from Scarborough) I suggest that we coordinate lifts nearer the time when we know who is going. I will have room for up to 4 people and can can pick up from Scarborough station or South Cliff area.

I am not a professional walk leader, so you come at your own risk - we are just a group of friends out for a walk! Sorry but no dogs.
