Welcome to The Light Chasers photography meetup. If you love all things photography, then join us and expand your photographic horizons as we embark on many adventures photographing the urban environment and natural landscape in and around Los Angeles and the Long Beach area. We will also hit the road from time to time to explore the desert areas and the Sierras!
Whether you are just starting out in photography and looking to learn as much as you can or are an experienced pro, come hang out with us and share your passion of photography as we explore new places both near and far.
In addition to our events, we will hold workshops on: Lighting, night photography, light painting, how to use filters, Photoshop techniques, Infrared Photography, and learning what all those settings on your camera are for, portraits and much more.

Descanso Gardens sits on 150 acres of cultivated and wild land nestled into a natural bowl by surrounding mountains. We'll explore the many paths and trails, verdant woodlands, lush gardens, and colorful native flowers.
Daytime Ticket Prices
Adults $15.00
Seniors 65+ $11.00- Members can enter Descanso during daytime hours without a ticket
- Non-members need a ticket to enter the gardens
Advance tickets are required for all non-members

# Photography & Filming
Guidelines
Descanso Gardens welcomes artists and photographers to capture our natural beauty. Families, couples, commercial and amateur photographers, as well as members of the media, are welcome to take photographs on our grounds according to the policies and procedures outlined below.
Posed photography, both commercial and non-commercial, requires a reservation and fee. Commercial Photography requires approval and a permit from our Special Events team.### Photography guidelines
- Tripods are allowed, as long as they are not placed in pathways, flower beds, or benches
- Costume changes (in the bathroom or otherwise) are not allowed due to LA county guidelines.
- List of prohibited items: flowers except under contract, standalone or handheld lights, reflectors, props, signs, balloons, drones, musical instruments, speakers, etc.
- Artists, wildlife and nature photographers do not require a Posed Photography Reservation, but do need to follow our Photography guidelines.
- All garden activities such as classes, tours, and landscape projects will have exclusive rights to that reserved area
- Descanso Gardens reserves the right to deny access for photography or filming and to modify its photography policy at any time without prior notice.
