What we’re about
LinkedIn Local is a global community. The mission “to meet the individual behind the profile.” LinkedIn Local is a networking event that focuses on creating genuine local connections. We come together, because of our shared interest in using LinkedIn to foster and manage professional relationships. The hosts, organisers and presenters are all volunteers and are not directly associated with LinkedIn, Microsoft or any of its affiliates.
LinkedIn Local was started by Anna MacAfee. Anna founded Linkedin Local in Coffs Harbour, NSW. Today, LinkedIn Local, now officially part of LinkedIn’s community outreach program, is in over 360 cities, with over 600 hosts and over 1000 events worldwide.
The LinkedIn Local Sunshine Coast group sets out to do three things with each event:
1. Provide real value to our local business community. We strive for every guest to walk away feeling they learned something new and excited to try it out the next day.
2. Share helpful tips to curate and manage your connections with LinkedIn.
3. Provide casual and structured networking opportunities, so you get a chance to meet more people, more effectively. Encouraging catch ups and 1on1s after the event.
If you would like to learn more or join the conversation, please follow our group pages on Facebook and LinkedIn.

This is why smart business leaders and marketers are turning to video podcasts as their primary content type. Simple to record, cost-effective to produce, and a powerhouse of value-based content is at your fingertips to fuel your content feed for weeks to come.
In this practical and engaging presentation, you'll get the entire workflow mapped out for you, so you can be creating like a pro in no time.
#### Here’s what we’ll cover:
How a conversational video podcast builds trust on LinkedIn faster than text alone
- A straightforward workflow with a few AI tools that turns the recording into clips, written posts, emails and articles in minutes
- A posting rhythm that keeps you visible without coming across as spammy
- Simple follow-ups that turn viewers into real conversations and, eventually, sales
Walk away with a clear process you can try next week: one conversation, thirty days of meaningful content and genuine leads.
Stick around afterwards to grab a signed copy of my new book, Engage, and chat strategy over a drink (or buy the book with your LinkedIn Local ticket for a discount!).
