Whether you're a curious newcomer, using Linux professionally or just love tech in general, join us in the area of Linz for regular meetups. We discuss hot topics, share cool tech tips, hold educational talks and explore new stuff. Everyone is welcome in our open, respectful, and collaborative space.

Linux / FOSS Meetup Linz #4 | Jan 22nd | JKU
JKU Linz, Altenbergerstraße 69, Linz, ATOur next meetup will take place on the 22nd of January 2026 @ JKU.
We'll have two interesting talks, food, an awesome location and plenty of like-minded people to talk with.

For our first talk, Erik will explain how decentralized systems operate. If you've ever wondered how federated communication works or how storage is replicated beyond the boundaries of physical hardware, be sure to catch this talk!
: Werner Fischer - Linux Storage Stack Explained :
Thanks to our second talk presented by Werner Fischer, we will finally get to understand how storage actually works under Linux.
As an additional bonus, we will receive an introduction to the LPI - the Linux Professional Institute - as well!
