Group Limit: Only groups of 9 people or less are allowed without a permit. So this hike will be limited to 9 people.

We hike as a group and hike at an average moving pace of about 2.5mph to 3mph. Although the group may split up due to different hiking paces, everyone is expected to wait at all intersections & periodically otherwise so that we can regroup and so no one is left behind or hiking on their own for safety purposes. We will plan to take a break at the peak & we will stop as needed along the way for water, snacks, pictures, etc.

Difficulty: Moderate - almost 7 miles with 1,100 to 1,200 feet elevation gain.

PARK FEE: IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ANNUAL STATE PARKS PASS, THERE IS A $10 DAILY PASS FEE TO ENTER THE PARK.

HIKE DESCRIPTION: This trail climbs to the 7,166 foot Carpenter Peak which is the high point in Roxborough State Park. The surrounding red rock formations are truly impressive dramatic hogbacks, spires, and monoliths of sandstone. While this trail is steep in sections, the climb up to Carpenter Peak is well worth the effort. See the following hike in Alltrails: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/carpenter-peak-trail

đźš« DOGS: Dogs are not allowed in the park.

ADDRESS/DIRECTIONS: We will meet at the Roxborough State Park Visitors Center. The address is: 4751 E. Roxborough Drive, Littleton, CO 80125. To get there, you can click on the alltrails link above and click directions. Or if you use google maps or Apple Maps, you can type in “Roxborough State Park” to get directions.
