Let’s get out for a quick Christmas Eve morning hike at Roxborough State Park. We will do the South Rim Loop Trail first which ends at the Visitors Center…if you choose you can end your hike here or if interested, you can join me for the Fountain Valley Loop hike.

Group Limit: Only groups of 9 or less are allowed without a permit. So this hike will be limited to 9 people.

Difficulty: The entire hike (both loops) is about 5.5 to 6 miles with about 800 feet elevation gain. If you do just the South Rim loop, that is about 3 miles & 500 feet elevation gain.

PARK FEE: THERE IS A $10 ENTRY FEE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE ANNUAL STATE PARKS PASS.

HIKE DESCRIPTION: Roxborough State Park is a unique Colorado State Park with a collection of spectacular red rock formations. We will hike both the South Rim Loop and the Fountain Valley loop trail taking the 2 side trails to the 2 overlooks. See the following hike in alltrails: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/south-rim-willow-creek-and-fountain-valley-loop

DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE PARK.

ADDRESS/DIRECTIONS: We will meet at the Roxborough State Park Visitors Center. The address is: 4751 E. Roxborough Drive, Littleton, CO 80125. To get there, you can click on the alltrails link above and click directions. Or if you use google maps, you can type in “Roxborough State Park Visitor Center” to get directions.
